Jesus, Our High PriestHandbook 5: Article 17 - Making Full the Word of God

And for the first time, we are also introduced, not only to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant, but also to Jesus, our High Priest!

Again:

"Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere (Lit. true) heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope with out wavering, for He who promised is faithful..."

Hebrews 10:19-23

"For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us..."

Hebrews 9:24

"Now the main point... is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary, and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man."

Hebrews 8:1, 2

"For it is witnessed of Him,

'Thou art a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.'"

Hebrews 7:17

"...because He abides forever, holds His priesthood permanently... He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."

Hebrews 7:24, 25
