The Kingdom of God Has a Special Throne

Handbook 4: Article 35 - Part 4: An Appointed Time, an Appointed Work: Renewing the Kingdom

"Do you not know that the Lord God of Israel gave the rule over Israel forever to David, to him and his sons?"

2 Chronicles 13:5

"I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever;
To all generations I will make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
For I have said, 'Lovingkindness will be built up forever;
In the heavens Thou wilt establish Thy faithfulness.

I have made a covenant with My chosen;
I have sworn to David My servant,
I will establish your seed forever,
And build up your throne to all generations.'"

Psalm 89:1-4

"...I have exalted one chosen from the people.
I have found David My servant;
With My holy oil I have anointed him,
With whom My hand will be established...

He will cry to Me, 'Thou art my Father,
My God, and the rock of my salvation.'
...My covenant shall be confirmed to him.
So shall I establish his descendants forever,
And his throne as the days of heaven.

...as the sun before Me.
It shall be established forever like the moon,
And the witness in the sky is faithful."

Psalm 89:19-21, 26, 28, 29, 36, 37

"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us,
And the government will be on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

There shall be no end to the increase of His government
Or of peace on the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord will accomplish this."

Isaiah 9:6, 7

The angel speaking:

"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end."

Luke 1:30-33

"(Zachariah) being filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied:

'Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people.
And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of David His servant...'"

Luke 1:68, 69

"A throne will even be established in lovingkindness, and a judge will sit on it in faithfulness in the tent of David..."

Isaiah 16:5

"O house of David, thus says the Lord;
'Administer justice in the morning; (do justice and righteousness)
And deliver the person who has been robbed from the hand of his oppressor...'"

Jeremiah 21:12

"Arise, O Lord, to Thy resting place;
Thou and the ark of Thy strength,
Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness;
And let Thy godly ones sing for joy.

For the sake of David Thy servant,
Do not turn away the face of Thine anointed.
The Lord has sworn to David,
A truth from which He will not turn back;
Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne...

For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His habitation.
This is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell for I have desired it,
I will abundantly bless her provision
I will satisfy her needy with bread.

Her priests also I will clothe with salvation;
And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.
Then I will cause the horn of David to spring forth;
I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.
His enemies I will clothe with shame;
But upon himself his crown shall shine."

Psalm 132:8-11, 13-18
