A Personal GlimpseHandbook 1: Article 36 - Just Between Us

Knowledge of the authority of God became an urgent matter for me when I recognized the significance of the following scripture:

"Then comes the end, when Christ delivers up the kingdom to God the father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every rule and authority and power, for Christ must be king and reign until He has put all enemies under His feet. And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the one who subjected all things to Him, that God may be all in all."

1 Corinthians 15: 24-28

Suddenly I became vitally aware that unless I place myself fully under the authority of God, seeking His will and doing it in my everyday life I will be one of those Jesus will have to abolish. I will be His enemy, a rebel in His Kingdom.

Listen to the words of Jesus in Matthew:

"...at the end of the age, the Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His Kingdom everything offensive and those who commit lawlessness."

Call it lawlessness, rebellion, disobedience, it is all the same -- the principle of Satan. I want no part of him. And when Jesus comes I want Him to find nothing of Satan in me.
